Introduction of Scan and Check

• Scan and Check is the designated mobile application for barcode scanning developed by the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ). This app serves the purpose of verifying the legitimacy of GS1 barcodes and the accuracy of product information linked to these codes.
• The primary objective of Scan and Check is to fulfill the specific requirements of regulatory bodies, consumers, and various business entities, particularly GS1 Vietnam’s member companies. It enables them to authenticate the source details of brand owners and their merchandise through the utilization of barcodes.
• Scan and Check forms a direct communication conduit between government regulatory agencies and consumers. This tool proves invaluable for regulatory bodies in validating product information.
